It is the distributers job to get my magazine recognised to my target audience so therefore i need to be careful about who i choose to do this for me. It can get recognised using:
- Advertisement
- Marketing
- Distribution
Because of those things it would be good to use a widely known publisher. Bauer would be ideal for me because they produce many different magazines and have the money and means to get my magazine out to the audience that i require. I feel that they would be a realistic publisher for my magazine. The music magazine Karrang is published by Bauer aswell and it is a very successful magazine and its target audience is satisfied very well. Even though my target audience is very different to Karrang's i feel that my needs for my magazine could be met too because of how they have been met with there other magazines. The reason that my magazine would be so succesful using this publisher is because there isnt a magazine like mine for my audience and music taste already with them which shows a clear loophole in the market and a great money making opportunity for Bauer. My music magazine is very hip and down with the ages so it would also be very suitable to have a webmag for it aswell.
