While planning for my music magazine I have come up with a title and that is “Dub” because it suites the type of music that the magazine is aimed at which is Dubstep and R’n’B so therefore with using this title for my magazine it is then easier for the reader to recognise the type of music that is going to be inside the mag.
I looked at some demographics for my magazine and the first I chose was the sex of the reader, I'm going to aim at at males as its more of a masculine type of music rather then feminine. The age of the target would be around 15-19 and Ive selected this on the bases that I don’t know many younger children who listen to the type of music and the same for older readers. Another reason is that some of the language in the songs are explicit and therefore are not targeted for a younger audience. The magazine is going to be for the UK and this is because the artists inside the magazine are going to be mainly British. Also because there are much more concerts and gigs in Britain for the artists featuring in my mag. Its hard to say about an income for my audience because the majority wont have jobs because they are in there teen years, probably a part time job at the most.

I have chosen all of these because they all incline with each other and best fit my target audience all put together, they aren't that different from each other with is why i have chosen these 4.
The price of my magazine would be about £2 because its a good price for a music magazine seeing as most of them are around £3 which means mine is just undercutting it which tempts more people to buy the mag, Price is a big aspect in magazines because it could determine buying one from the other and hopefully this would work to my favor. As for the frequency of my mag it would be monthly and this is because it would be very hard to keep updating weekly with the type of music that i have chosen, this also helps me because it keeps people interested and looking forward to when the next one comes out, also alot of people may not be able to afford a music mag once a week.
There isn't many magazines out in the market that are alike to the contents of my magazine because its something that isn't out at the moment already, which is quite a loop whole in the market and a great opportunity for someone to enter. A lot of the music inside it will be about new artists upcoming as well and therefore this will give more people to listen to more upcoming music before it comes out officially and before the artists are recognised as making it big.
The style of my magazine will be alike to that of Heed mag because its very simplistic but has a really smooth feel and a very professional feel to it, i have chosen to do it like this because its easy to see what is inside the magazine because of the simple design, and easy to read text. The pictures that will be displayed on my mag are those of a professional crisp feel with a good use of negative space, this is because i don't want it to look over cluttered. Overall the main thing that would attract the public to my magazine is the fact that there isn't much out there that is aimed at the audience and type of music that mine will include and also because of the very friendly price tag.
